Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Representative for Arizona’s 4th congressional district, shared a series of posts on January 10, 2026, expressing appreciation for law enforcement officers in his district, congratulating a local leader in Chandler, and addressing U.S.-Mexico cooperation against drug cartels.

On National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, Stanton posted: “On this National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, thank you to the women and men across #AZ04 serving in law enforcement. You and your families are appreciated.” (January 10, 2026).

Later that day, he congratulated Angel Encinas on his new role as Vice Mayor of Chandler: “Congratulations to Chandler’s next Vice Mayor, Angel Encinas! A downtown Chandler kid who never forgot his roots, he’s worked to bring city services directly to neighborhoods. I’m excited to continue our work together.” (January 10, 2026).

In another post on the same date regarding international policy toward Mexico and drug cartels, Stanton wrote: “El combate a los cárteles de droga en México requiere cooperación, no amenazas imprudentes. Encabecé a 72 demócratas en el Congreso, junto con @RepGregoryMeeks y @JoaquinCastrotx, para oponernos a una acción militar unilateral que pondría en riesgo nuestras alianzas económicas y” (January 10, 2026).

Stanton has served multiple terms representing Arizona’s 4th congressional district. He secured reelection victories over Kelly Cooper in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections; in the most recent contest he won with approximately 52.7% of the vote compared to Cooper’s 45.5%. In the previous cycle in 2022 he won with about 56% of the vote against Cooper’s 43.1%.
