Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Congressman from Arizona, shared several updates on social media this week, including the introduction of a new member of Congress and ongoing debates over health care legislation.
On November 12, 2025, Stanton announced the swearing-in of a new colleague: “I am proud to finally introduce Arizona’s newest Congresswoman, Rep. Adelita Grijalva.”
The following day, Stanton addressed concerns about proposed changes to health care policy. On November 13, 2025, he wrote: “This fight isn’t about politics, it’s about whether a family can afford to take their kid to the hospital or gamble on not doing so. I’m voting no on this for every family like theirs.”
Later that same day, Stanton commented on legislative efforts by House Democrats regarding health care savings programs: “Democrats have put forward a petition to force a House vote on a three-year extension of the health care savings millions of Americans rely on. Many of my Republican colleagues have said they’d support a deal on health care once the government reopened. Now’s their chance.”
Stanton has represented Arizona in Congress since first winning election in 2018. He successfully defended his seat against Kelly Cooper in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections; in 2024 he received approximately 52.7% of the vote compared to Cooper’s 45.5%, while in 2022 he won with about 56% against Cooper’s 43.1%.
