Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 4th district, posted a series of updates on October 8, 2025, covering topics from service academy nominations to health care policy and local sports.

In his first post of the day, Stanton highlighted his role in supporting students seeking military careers: “It’s my privilege as a Congressman to nominate the best and brightest AZ-04 students to U.S. Service Academies. Applications for nominations close next week on October 15th — learn more and apply now:” (October 8, 2025).

Later that afternoon, Stanton addressed ongoing legislative efforts regarding health care premiums: “I’m back in D.C. and joining my colleagues in the Capitol to talk about the health care cliff and what we’re doing to stop Americans’ coverage premiums from doubling. I’ll be speaking in a few minutes — join me here:” (October 8, 2025).

Stanton also engaged with local sports fans ahead of a major WNBA game: “.@PhoenixMercury vs @LVAces’ WNBA Finals game 3 is tonight. Sorry @RepHorsford, your Aces are going down… #MightyMercury” (October 8, 2025).

Stanton has represented Arizona’s 4th district since defeating Kelly Cooper in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections. In the most recent contest, he secured victory with approximately 52.7% of the vote compared to Cooper’s 45.5%. Two years earlier, he won by a wider margin of 56% to Cooper’s 43.1%.
