As the United States marks its 250th anniversary, Heritage Academy Principal Heidi Udall encouraged students to consider the difference between patriotism and politics in a recent message.

“At Heritage, we are proud Americans who are grateful for our liberties. While our politics sometimes divide us, our patriotism can unite us. Would you continue a discussion about patriotism at home?” Udall said.

She also shared her personal perspective: “As the daughter of an immigrant, I feel gratitude for the opportunities the United States of America has given me and my family.”
