In a post at 15:00 UTC, Julie announced her new role and expressed gratitude to her supporters. She wrote, “Excited for the next adventure! Thank you for all the love and support. I’m proud to be your next State Senator.”

Later that day at 15:22 UTC, she posted about a family moment: “Birthday gift from my daughter! “ At 17:40 UTC, she made another post simply stating, “Team Assemble”.

Julie Willoughby is a Republican who previously served in the Arizona State House after being elected in 2022 to represent the state’s 13th House District. She succeeded Liz Harris in that position.
