Kyrene schools plan Veterans Day assemblies to honor military service

Kyrene del Pueblo Middle School and Kyrene de la Paloma Arts Integration Academy will hold Veterans Day events on their shared campus in Chandler, Arizona. The celebrations are scheduled for Friday, November 7, and Monday, November 10, ahead of the national holiday.

At Kyrene del Pueblo Middle School, a breakfast for veterans will begin at 7:50 a.m., followed by an assembly from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. On Monday, Kyrene de la Paloma Arts Integration Academy will host its assembly from 7:45 to 8:15 a.m.

Both active duty and retired veterans are invited to attend these events during the school day. Media representatives who wish to cover the events must provide advance notice before attending.
