The goal is to close learning gaps before students reach high school. “With clear learning targets and practical feedback cycles, we aim to close as many learning gaps as possible before the student enters the ninth grade,” Legacy explained.

The schools also provide digital platforms where parents and students can monitor academic progress over time. These systems facilitate communication between families and staff about instructional decisions and readiness for upcoming academic challenges.

In addition to core academics, Legacy offers electives designed to familiarize students with high school-level expectations. “Legacy offers several programs focused on specific areas where students can excel. These well-chosen electives prepare students by helping them understand many of the processes used in high school,” the statement noted.

Attendance policies are clearly communicated through handbooks so that students understand accountability measures and learn responsibility for their actions. Legacy Traditional Schools highlight transparency with parents regarding curriculum alignment with Arizona standards as one reason families choose charter schools for preparing children for high school transitions. Admission remains open but subject to availability; if applications exceed available seats, preference is given according to Arizona law—for example, siblings of current or former students or children of employees receive priority before an equitable lottery is conducted if necessary.
