Mesa City Council approves theme park district at former Fiesta Mall site

The Mesa City Council has approved the creation of a Theme Park District at the site of the former Fiesta Mall. The decision is expected to provide new development tools aimed at encouraging investment and redevelopment in this area.

According to city officials, this move is intended to attract businesses that can contribute to economic growth and bring well-paying jobs and amenities to Mesa. A statement from city representatives said, “The formation of a Theme Park District at the former Fiesta Mall site provides additional development tools that will facilitate new opportunities for transformative investments at one of the most attractive redevelopment sites in the state of Arizona. Mesa is committed to attracting and supporting businesses that align with our vision of bringing high-impact economic opportunities, well-paying jobs and world-class amenities and experiences that enhance the quality of life in our city.”

The establishment of the Palo District marks a significant step in redeveloping an area considered important for Mesa’s future growth.
