Mesa seeks applicants for volunteer advisory boards and committees

The City of Mesa announced on Apr. 9 that it is inviting residents to apply for open positions on several of its volunteer advisory boards and committees.

These boards give community members a chance to share their expertise and participate in decisions that affect local policies, programs, and services. According to the city, recruitment is ongoing, with applications accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. Appointments are recommended by the mayor and must be approved by the City Council.

Openings are available across a range of groups, including the Board of Adjustment, Building Board of Appeals, Design Review Board, Economic Development Advisory Board, Historic Preservation Board, Housing and Community Development Advisory Board, Museum and Cultural Advisory Board, Parks and Recreation Board, Personnel Appeals Board, Planning and Zoning Board, and Transportation Advisory Board. Each board focuses on different aspects such as land use decisions or public art policies. Most terms last three years unless otherwise noted.
