Rep. Andy Biggs, who represents Arizona’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a series of national policy issues and developments through his social media posts.

On December 15, 2025, Biggs shared an official statement regarding the Department of Education’s recognition of Grand Canyon University’s nonprofit status. He posted, “My official statement on @usedgov’s recognition of @gcu’s nonprofit status https://t.co/3QdHx7adgQ”.

Later that evening, on December 16, 2025, Biggs commented on legislative priorities for Republicans in Congress. He wrote, “Republicans in Congress have a very small window of opportunity to enact the America First Agenda our constituents demand. Return America to majority rule. Eliminate the filibuster. In another post on December 16, he addressed public safety in Washington D.C., referencing former President Trump and criticizing Democratic leaders’ handling of crime statistics. Biggs stated, “President Trump was right all along—we need the National Guard’s protection in D.C. Instead of admitting it, Democrats lied about the real crime stats, endangering D.C. residents and visitors. Shameful.”

Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th District since 2017 after serving in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert, he holds degrees from Brigham Young University (BA) and the University of Arizona (JD).
