Rep. Andy Biggs, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, posted a series of statements on October 14, 2025, addressing topics ranging from Middle East conflict to historical references and a presidential award.

In a tweet published at 15:58 UTC, Biggs commented on the situation in Gaza, stating, “Hamas is carrying out barbaric executions in the streets. Under President Trump’s historic peace plan, Hamas was expected to disarm and surrender governance of Gaza. They must do so expeditiously or face consequences for violating the ceasefire.”

Later that day, at 21:01 UTC, Biggs referenced a historical figure in U.S. law enforcement, writing, “Remember when J. Edgar Hoover said there was no mafia?”

At 21:24 UTC, Biggs announced a posthumous honor, stating, “President Trump has posthumously awarded Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the United States. Few are more deserving of this honor than Charlie. He would’ve been 32 years old today. Thank you @POTUS for this beautiful ceremony.”

Andy Biggs, who was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1958 and currently resides in Gilbert, has served in Congress since 2017 after previously serving in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. He holds a BA from Brigham Young University and a JD from the University of Arizona.
