Rep. Andy Biggs, who has represented Arizona’s 5th congressional district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, posted a series of tweets on January 21, 2026, addressing recent national issues and events.
In his first post at 16:21 UTC, Biggs expressed condolences regarding a tragedy involving two individuals named Fletcher and Skylar. He wrote, “This is absolutely heartbreaking. Cindy and I are praying for Fletcher and Skylar’s loved ones during the devastating time. This is exactly why President Trump and @ICEgov’s work is crucial. This tragedy was 100% preventable. Juan should never have been in our country.”
Later that day at 17:08 UTC, Biggs commented on political responses to the Jeffrey Epstein case by stating, “Truth. Republicans have long called for accountability and justice for those criminally involved with Epstein. But Democrats didn’t start caring until they thought they could sully President Trump’s name.”
In a subsequent tweet at 18:46 UTC, he referenced an unnamed individual’s actions toward law enforcement officers with the statement: “Big talk coming from someone who assaulted federal law enforcement officers”.
Andy Biggs has served as Arizona’s representative in Congress since replacing Richard Miranda in 2017 and previously held office in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958, Biggs currently resides in Gilbert and holds degrees from Brigham Young University (BA) and the University of Arizona (JD).
