Rep. Andy Biggs, who represents Arizona’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on January 23, 2026, addressing immigration enforcement, international relations, and abortion legislation.

In a tweet posted at 15:19 UTC, Biggs questioned Democratic opposition to deporting criminal non-citizens: “Makes you wonder why Democrats fight so hard to keep these thugs in our country. Deporting criminal illegal aliens is a net positive for civilized society.”

Later that day at 15:37 UTC, he commented on recent developments regarding U.S. participation in global organizations: “HUGE news. Thank you, Mr. President! The United States must never again surrender our sovereignty to a corrupt, unaccountable international organization. Now Congress must immediately pass my WHO Withdrawal Act to codify this important effort.”

At 18:19 UTC the same day, Biggs addressed abortion policy and his legislative efforts: “The brutal practice of slaughtering children in the womb has no place in a civilized society. I’ve introduced several bills this Congress defending life. It is an honor to continue fighting for the most innocent among us, and I will not stop until abortion becomes unthinkable.”

Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th District since 2017 after serving in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. He was born in Tucson in 1958 and resides in Gilbert. He holds degrees from Brigham Young University and the University of Arizona.
