Rep. Andy Biggs, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, used his social media platform to comment on ongoing legislative negotiations and call out fellow lawmakers for their political positions.

On November 6, 2025, Biggs addressed the debate over a continuing resolution in Congress by stating, “Absolutely right, Mr. Speaker. To the ‘negotiate and compromise’ crowd: The clean CR sitting in the Senate IS the compromise. Democrats are making unserious demands and ignoring the demands of their constituents.”

Later that day, he posted another message directed at Arizona senators Ruben Gallego and Mark Kelly: “Put Arizonans over your political games. @SenRubenGallego @SenMarkKelly” (November 7, 2025).

Shortly after midnight on November 7, Biggs questioned an unnamed individual’s seriousness with a brief post: “Is this guy serious?”

Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th District in Congress since succeeding Richard Miranda in 2017 and previously served in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert, Biggs holds degrees from Brigham Young University (BA) and the University of Arizona (JD).
