Rep. Andy Biggs, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, posted several statements on his X (formerly Twitter) account on January 22, 2026, criticizing Democrats and federal spending policies.

In a post from the early morning of January 22, Biggs alleged Democratic inaction regarding the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. He wrote, “Democrats never cared about the Epstein files—or the victims—before their press tour began last year. They had FOUR YEARS under Biden to release documents and subpoena witnesses, but they never did. And we all know why.”

Later that day, Biggs commented on federal spending related to abortion and LGBT initiatives: “Disgusting. But unfortunately all too common in the Swamp. Taxpayer dollars should never be used to fund abortion or the Left’s woke LGBT agenda.” In another post published an hour later, he criticized Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigations by stating, “Jack Smith never cared about the facts. It was a weaponized witch hunt all along.”

Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th District in Congress since succeeding Richard Miranda in 2017 and previously served in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert at age 64, Biggs holds degrees from Brigham Young University (BA) and the University of Arizona (JD).
