Rep. Andy Biggs, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, posted a series of statements on social media on December 5, 2025, addressing issues ranging from political opposition to media coverage.

In one post published at 16:22 UTC, Biggs criticized political opponents and their adherence to legal principles, stating: “Insanity. The Left has no regard for the rule of law.”

Later that day at 18:43 UTC, he called on his party colleagues to resist policy changes regarding government subsidies: “Congressional Republicans must oppose any subsidy expansion. Anything less would be an abandonment of the promises we made to the American people.”

At 18:57 UTC, Biggs addressed recent reporting by CBS, disputing their coverage and offering his account of an incident involving a traffic stop: “CBS wants so badly to still be relevant that they try to make a story out of nothing. Here’s what actually happened (per @TriciaOhio): During a traffic stop, a U.S. citizen, who was driving her illegal alien boyfriend’s car (who had been arrested prior) refused to comply with”

Biggs has served in Congress since succeeding Richard Miranda in 2017 and previously held office in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. He was born in Tucson in 1958 and resides in Gilbert. Biggs graduated from Brigham Young University in 1982 before earning his JD from the University of Arizona two years later.
