Rep. Andy Biggs, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, used his social media platform in early November 2025 to criticize Senate Democrats and call for policy changes regarding children and healthcare.

On November 7, Biggs posted a message urging followers to oppose a legislative proposal from Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer: “Save our children. Reject Chuck Schumer’s ‘compromise.’ @SenateGOP @SenateDems”.

Three days later, on November 10, Biggs accused Senate Democrats of accepting large sums from the pharmaceutical industry and prioritizing personal gain over reducing healthcare costs: “Democrats in the Senate receive MILLIONS from Big Pharma and its subsidiaries. They’re not working to lower healthcare costs for Americans. They’re working to line their own pockets.”

In another post the same day, he commented on recent Senate voting patterns following prolonged negotiations: “After 40 days and 15 votes, 8 Senate Democrats finally put Americans over partisan games. Arizona’s @SenMarkKelly and @SenRubenGallego were not among them. They continue to vote for missed paychecks for our troops and air travel delays to please their King @SenSchumer.”

Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th District in Congress since replacing Richard Miranda in 2017. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958, Biggs resides in Gilbert and holds degrees from Brigham Young University (BA) and the University of Arizona (JD).
