Rep. Andy Biggs, who represents Arizona’s 5th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, has outlined several legislative proposals related to healthcare reform through a series of posts on his social media account dated December 8, 2025.

In one post, Biggs highlighted Rep. Chris Smith’s proposed legislation: “Rep. Chris Smith’s No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act codifies and strengthens Hyde Amendment protections to block federal funds from financing abortion.” (December 8, 2025)

Another tweet referenced an initiative by Rep. Gary Palmer: “@USRepGaryPalmer’s New Health Options Act creates an alternative market outside Obamacare with guaranteed coverage for preexisting conditions at lower cost.” (December 8, 2025)

Concluding his thread on the subject of healthcare reform, Biggs stated: “This is what healthcare reform looks like: policy depth, proven ideas, and immediate pathways to implementation. The legislation is already written. The House simply needs the will to act.” (December 8, 2025)

Andy Biggs has served as a member of Congress since replacing Richard Miranda in 2017 and previously held office in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert, he holds degrees from Brigham Young University and the University of Arizona.
