Rep. Andy Biggs, who represents Arizona’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on his social media account on November 5, 2025, addressing concerns about Sharia Law and commenting on recent international remarks.

In a post made at 15:48 UTC, Biggs wrote, “We must stop the advancement of Sharia Law in its tracks. It has no place in our Republic.”

Later that day at 19:14 UTC, he commented on a public figure’s remarks regarding several countries but not the United States: “Strange that he found time to mention Yemen, Mexico, Senegal, Uzbekistan, Trinidad & Tobago, and Ethiopia… …but not the United States.”

At 20:59 UTC the same day, Biggs referenced former President Ronald Reagan by sharing a quote: “President Reagan said it best”

Andy Biggs has served as a member of Congress for Arizona’s 5th District since 2017 after succeeding Richard Miranda. Before his tenure in Congress, he was part of the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert, Biggs earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and later received his law degree from the University of Arizona.
