Rep. Andy Biggs, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, posted a series of statements on his official X account regarding immigration policy and census procedures.

On December 1, 2025, Biggs commented on a recent development concerning government spending and undocumented immigrants: “This is a huge win. Illegal aliens shouldn’t get a single dime at the taxpayers’ expense. Thank you @SecScottBessent!”

Later that day, he addressed the deportation of an individual previously arrested for child sex crimes in 2021: “This disgusting animal was arrested in 2021 for child sex crimes, but the corrupt Biden-Harris-Mayorkas regime couldn’t be bothered to remove him. This is where years of pro-crime, anti-victim policies lead. Thank you @POTUS, @DHSgov, and @ICEgov for working to deport him.”

On December 2, 2025, Biggs turned his attention to census policy: “Only American citizens should be counted in the census. Not illegal aliens. Not temporary residents. Noncitizens should not be counted toward apportionment and representation.”

Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th District in Congress since replacing Richard Miranda in 2017 and previously served in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert, Biggs holds degrees from Brigham Young University (BA) and the University of Arizona (JD).
