Rep. Andy Biggs, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 5th district since 2017, posted a series of tweets on August 19, 2025, expressing strong support for former President Donald Trump and advocating for changes to election procedures.

In a tweet published at 01:26 UTC, Biggs stated: “President Trump is the President of Peace! Nations around the world see that real leadership is back in the Oval Office.”

Minutes later, at 01:29 UTC, he called for reforms to voting practices: “Let’s get back to voting in person American elections are too important to risk mail-in ballot fraud. Thank you, Mr. President!”

Later that day, at 23:45 UTC, Biggs commented on security measures in Washington D.C., writing: “President Trump stepped in and is doing what D.C. local leadership refuses to do: He is making our nation’s capital safe again. No rational person is upset about @POTUS exercising his authority.”

Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th District since succeeding Richard Miranda in 2017 and previously served in the Arizona Senate from 2013 to 2017. Born in Tucson in 1958 and currently residing in Gilbert, he holds degrees from Brigham Young University and the University of Arizona.
