Rep. Greg Stanton, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, recently addressed issues ranging from drug cartel policy to congressional ethics and antisemitism in a series of posts on his official social media account.
On January 10, 2026, Stanton wrote: “Combating Mexican drug cartels requires cooperation, not reckless threats. I led 72 Democrats in Congress, alongside @RepGregoryMeeks and @JoaquinCastrotx, to oppose unilateral military action that would endanger our economic and security partnerships.”
The following day, January 11, he posted about legislative efforts targeting congressional financial activities: “In addition to a stock trading ban, Congress also needs to ban its members from using prediction markets. I’m helping lead a bill to stop public officials from profiting off the outcomes they can influence.”
Later on January 11, Stanton commented on an incident affecting the Jewish community: “This vile attack targeted not just Jews in Mississippi, but Jews everywhere. It’s both reminiscent of a dark time in our nation’s history and reflective of the scourge of antisemitism gripping our nation today. I pray for those affected and will continue fighting to root out”
Stanton has served multiple terms in Congress after winning re-election against Kelly Cooper in both 2022 and 2024. In the most recent contest, he secured victory with approximately 52.7% of the vote compared to Cooper’s 45.5%. In their previous matchup two years earlier, Stanton won with 56% of the vote.
