Rep. Greg Stanton, a U.S. Congressman who secured re-election in 2024 by defeating Kelly Cooper with 52.7% of the vote, has recently addressed several issues through his official social media account.

On October 11, Stanton acknowledged World Mental Health Day, stating, “Yesterday was World Mental Health Day. No one should suffer alone, and there’s no shame in asking for help.

If you or a loved one are in a crisis, call, text, or message 988 for free and confidential support.”

The following day, Stanton highlighted an academic achievement connected to Arizona State University: “Proud to see a former ASU professor earn the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

Dr. Omar Yaghi’s breakthrough work on organic materials design began at ASU three decades ago and shows the importance of continued investment in research and innovation.” This comment comes as Arizona continues to emphasize research and innovation as central to its academic and economic growth.

On October 13, Stanton commented on the release of hostages after a prolonged ordeal: “What an incredible moment to witness — the hostages are free.

After two excruciating years, families are finally being reunited. A long healing process now commences.

Our prayers are especially with families who will receive only the remains of their loved ones murdered by” The statement reflects on the emotional impact for both those reunited and those who have lost loved ones.

Stanton’s public service has included multiple electoral victories; in addition to his 2024 win, he previously defeated Kelly Cooper in 2022 with 56% of the vote.
