Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Congressman for Arizona’s 4th district, posted a series of statements on November 17, 2025, addressing national economic policy and recent emergency management issues.

In his first post at 20:03 UTC, Stanton questioned the impact of tariffs on American consumers by writing, “So, Trump’s team is finally ready to admit tariffs raise prices for Americans?”.

Later that evening at 20:33 UTC, Stanton criticized FEMA leadership in the wake of deadly flooding in Central Texas. He stated, “Richardson’s departure is long overdue. His inexperience, incompetence and indifference at FEMA cost lives. When catastrophic flooding killed over 130 people in Central Texas, he was missing in action.

Americans deserve competent emergency management. They deserve to know with”.

At 23:10 UTC the same day, Stanton addressed recovery efforts following Hurricane Priscilla’s impact on Tempe: “Hurricane Priscilla’s microburst hit Tempe hard — but help is on the way.

Residents and businesses impacted can now apply for SBA disaster loans at https://t.co/4pLhvi7ehb. Thank you @MayorCoreyWoods for your leadership helping the community recover.”

Stanton has served as Arizona’s representative since defeating Kelly Cooper in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections; he won by a margin of approximately seven percentage points in each contest.
