Rep. Greg Stanton, U.S. Congressman from Arizona, addressed several local and national issues in a series of posts on October 19, 2025.

In his first post, Stanton expressed gratitude to various partners for their roles in a recent program, stating: “Thanks to all those who made this exciting program possible:

@SenRubenGallego
@MayorGallego
@blackstone’s Greg Blank & Mike Forman
@arizonafuture’s @SybilFrancisCFA
@MCCCD’s @MCCCDChancellor
@phxchamber’s @TSandersGPC
@ASU’s @GonzalesNancyA” (October 19, 2025).

Later that day, Stanton commented on the ongoing closure of the House of Representatives, highlighting its impact on Americans facing rising insurance costs. He wrote: “The lights are still dark in Congress.

The House has been closed for four weeks while Americans across the country are getting letters saying their insurance costs are about to skyrocket.

Mr. Speaker, call us back to Washington so we can get to work.” (October 19, 2025).

In his final post of the day, Stanton recognized the efforts of Salt River Project crews following severe weather in Tempe: “When the microburst hit Tempe, @SRPconnect crews were some of the first in and last out

Moving downed power lines

Restoring power for 22,000 people

Protecting residents from danger.

I’m honored to recognize their service with a formal Congressional Commendation.” (October 19, 2025).

Stanton’s public statements come after his reelection victories over Kelly Cooper in both the 2024 and 2022 general elections. In the most recent contest, he secured approximately 52.7% of the vote compared to Cooper’s 45.5%. Two years earlier, he won with a margin of roughly thirteen percentage points.
