Rep. Greg Stanton, a U.S. Congressman who won re-election in both 2022 and 2024, recently used his Twitter account to comment on legislative developments and local leadership in Phoenix.

On January 9, 2026, Stanton addressed the passage of health care tax credit extensions in the House, stating, “Americans need lower prices, not excuses. For months, we have been fighting to extend the tax credits that keep health care affordable. Thanks to the support of 17 Republicans, the extension finally passed the House.”

Later that day, Stanton commented on U.S. trade policy under former President Trump: “American manufacturing jobs are plummeting due to Trump’s illegal tariffs. I’ll continue fighting to end them and bring down costs.”

On January 10, he congratulated a local leader in Phoenix: “Congratulations to @PHXdistrict8 on being slected Vice Mayor by your peers. Thank you for the work you do on behalf of Phoenix fighting for more housing affordability, community safety, and economic development. I look forward to continuing our work together for Phoenix.”

Stanton has held his congressional seat through two consecutive election cycles against Kelly Cooper—in 2022 with a margin of 56% to 43.1%, and again in 2024 with a margin of 52.7% to 45.5%.
