Rep. Greg Stanton, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 4th district since 2019, addressed several issues on his Twitter account on April 2, 2026, including Passover celebrations, the economic impact of tariffs imposed by former President Trump, and emergency management policies in Texas. In a post made at 01:29 UTC, Stanton extended holiday greetings to his constituents:

“Happy Passover! Tonight, families across Arizona will gather for a seder and tell the story of freedom, perseverance, and faith. Chag Pesach Sameach!”

Later that day at 18:58 UTC, Stanton criticized the economic outcomes following what he referred to as Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs:

“A year after Trump’s ‘Liberation Day’ tariffs, let’s look at the record: Prices still rising nationwide 100,000 domestic manufacturing jobs lost An extra $1,700+ out of families’ pockets for everyday goods”

.At 20:54 UTC on April 2, Stanton commented on policy changes regarding disaster response in Texas:

“Good. Kristi Noem’s policy to personally sign off on any expenditure over $100k delayed FEMA search and rescue for days during the terrible Texas flooding last year. In an emergency, minutes matter. This will help prevent another massive DHS failure.”

Stanton has represented Arizona’s 4th district since succeeding Kyrsten Sinema in Congress in 2019. He was re-elected in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections against Kelly Cooper.

In 2024, Greg Stanton defeated Kelly Cooper in the general election with a margin of approximately seven percentage points.

Prior to his congressional service, Stanton earned degrees from Marquette University and the University of Arizona.

Greg Stanton was born in Long Island in 1970 and currently resides in Phoenix.
