Rep. Greg Stanton, a Democratic congressman who recently secured re-election in both 2022 and 2024, has taken to social media to voice concerns over airline passenger rights, veterans’ assistance, and the appointment of federal officials by former President Donald Trump.

On December 10, 2025, Stanton criticized the Trump administration’s policy changes regarding airline refunds. He stated, “It’s unbelievable that the Trump administration would strip passengers of the right to a refund for major delays and canceled flights. Holiday travel is stressful enough without airline issues. I’m leading nearly 80 Democrats in calling for @USDOT to reinstate these protections.”

Later that day, Stanton addressed issues facing veterans seeking help with claims. In his post from December 10, he wrote, “Last week, I joined @VetAffairsDems to speak about how claim sharks take advantage of veterans who need help and what my bill — the SAVE Act — would do to fix the accreditation process https://t.co/hxHZbgW3ko”

In a third message on December 10, Stanton commented on appointments made by former President Trump: “Trump is installing loyalists with zero qualifications beyond their willingness to push conspiracy theories and dismantle the very institutions they’re supposed to lead.”

Stanton represents Arizona’s 4th congressional district and has maintained his seat through consecutive elections against Kelly Cooper—winning with 56% of the vote in 2022 and again in 2024 with nearly 53% of the vote.
