Senator David Farnsworth, who chairs the Senate Appropriations & Transportation Committee, has outlined his priorities for the upcoming Arizona legislative session. Farnsworth’s agenda centers on improving infrastructure, advancing transportation initiatives, cutting bureaucratic hurdles, and advocating for parental rights.

Farnsworth’s plan focuses on three main areas. The first is to enhance state infrastructure and consider new transportation technologies such as advanced air mobility. He aims to improve safety and access while keeping Arizona competitive as its economy grows. The second priority is to reduce bureaucracy and streamline government processes to support families, workers, and small businesses. Lastly, Farnsworth intends to promote parental rights and protect individual freedoms by ensuring that families have control over decisions about education, healthcare, and values.

“Real change doesn’t occur through slogans or grand promises—it happens when legislators collaborate,” said Senator Farnsworth. “I am dedicated to the hard work involved in building support and advancing solutions that will benefit Arizonans for generations to come. My goal is to develop the infrastructure of the future, promote innovations like advanced air mobility, reduce unnecessary regulations, and strongly advocate for parental rights and individual freedoms. With the collaboration of my colleagues, we can achieve steady, responsible progress for the people of Arizona. I warmly wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a joyful holiday season. I look forward to January 12, when meaningful progress will begin, marking the opening day of the 57th Legislature, Second Regular Session!”

Arizona State Sen. Warren Petersen was elected in 2023 as a Republican representing District 14 in the Arizona State Senate after David Gowan’s tenure.
