Sixty high school students from Gilbert Public Schools were named as All-State Musicians for 2026, according to an announcement on Apr. 17. These students were selected after completing a competitive audition process that involved regional and state-level performances.
The recognition highlights the dedication and talent of local student-musicians who achieved top honors in Arizona’s music education programs. Participation in these ensembles is seen as a significant accomplishment within the state’s arts community.
To be chosen, each student first earned a place in their respective regional band, choir, or orchestra before advancing to the final auditions at Gilbert High School. The process required mastering challenging solo pieces and technical exercises. Students from several district schools—including Campo Verde High, Gilbert High, Highland High, Desert Ridge High, Mesquite High, and Gilbert Classical Academy—were represented across choir, orchestra, and band categories.
