City of Chandler approves property tax ordinance, grants at recent meeting

During a Chandler City Council meeting on June 25, several ordinances and agreements were approved, including ones on property tax, grants and more, according to a press release from the city. 

The council addressed 41 agenda items at the meeting, the first of which approved a property tax levy ordinance. It reduces property tax by 0.008 cents. 

The council also approved a grant application to for the Homestead North Park to the Land and Water Conservation Fund, according to the press release. 

Other items approved during the meeting include: A resolution to rezone from Planned Area Development to Amended PAD with Mid-Rise Overlay; an agreement with Reyes and Sons Landscaping, LLC, to landscape for one year; an employment agreement with City Clerk Dana DeLong from July 1 to June 30, 2021; a resolution that receives the Award for the Bureau of Justice Assistance FY20 Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program.
