Tempe Chamber FUEL Young Professionals Committee
Purpose: To empower young professionals as stewards of the business community through professional development while enhancing personal networks to foster Tempe's current and future business leaders. T
Objectives:

- Uniting young professionals to develop business relationships
- Engaging Tempe's business and community leaders
- Leading Tempe to a vibrant future through professional development
Guest speaker: David Baxter, Owner, Blockchain Learning Center
David Baxter is committed to improving the lives of the people in his community in a number of ways. He's started a coffee shop called the Beanchain that will offer great pay, voting, and profit sharing in an attempt to help some workers get to the middle class! At the Beanchain he'll also be teaching programming and business development classes when he can to help people find their own ways to prosper. In concert with the Beanchain David founded the Blockchain Learning Center to help people better understand the impact and uses for Blockchain and other distributed / decentralized technologies. He believes that they are an important tool for people that are seeking more fair and democratic workplaces and societies.
The Blockchain Learning Center has won a grant from Cardano's project catalyst and used the funds to create an LMS platform that instructors have used to teach about certain aspects of blockchain, infographics, videos, and tools that are intended to be used when teaching about Blockchain and other DLT(Distributed Ledger Technologies).
