Gilbert, Ariz. - Gilbert is the 8th best place in the U.S. for military veterans to live, according to WalletHub. The financial company looked at 100 American cities to determine where would be the best places for America’s heroes to settle down.
Gilbert was one of only two Arizona towns and cities to make the top 10. WalletHub compared 19 key indicators, including livability, affordability and veteran-friendliness. Two of Gilbert’s highest performance areas were quality of life and health.
More than 18 million veterans currently live in the U.S. For those living in Gilbert, they have the support of the Veterans Advisory Board, which connects local veterans to community resources, events, educational opportunities and more.
During the week of November 5-11, Gilbert will be honoring and celebrating America’s military veterans with various events around town, including a ceremony at Gilbert Regional Park.
