4. Lock your vehicle at all times and ensure your doors are locked immediately after entering your vehicle

1. Remove all valuables from your vehicle when you arrive home
2. Check your doors and garage doors to ensure they are closed and securely locked
3. Install cameras on your property to monitor activity around your home
Online Safety Tips
1. Do your research before buying items online. Buy only from reputable websites and sellers
2. Arrange to pick up purchases from local online sellers in safe areas like our online exchange zone located outside our two Gilbert Police Department stations (75 E. Civic Center Drive and 2332 E. Queen Creek Road)
Driving Safety Tips
1. Make sure you do a safety check on your vehicle before going on the road (Check your tires, lights, wipers, and fluids)
2. Minimize all distractions - don't text and drive
3. Follow the posted speed limits
4. Ensure the intersection is clear of all other vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians before turning
5. Be patient -the holidays can bring more people into our community. Give yourself extra time when heading to your destination
