Gilbert, Ariz. - Gilbert is committed to being the City of the Future, and the rest of the country is taking notice. The team at FinanceBuzz recently released their lists of fastest rising and fastest declining cities in the country. Gilbert was ranked as the second fastest-rising city nationwide.
“Gilbert, Arizona is on a mission to be the City of the Future, with a focus on Anticipating, Creating, and Helping People. Gilbert has been recognized as the 22nd Best Place to Live in the U.S. by Money Magazine and the 2nd Safest City in America by Law Street Media. Having transformed decades ago from an agricultural community, it is now a thriving and economically diverse major American city of 282,000 residents and growing, with a strong economy, competitive schools, and safe neighborhoods,” said Patrick Banger, City Manager of Gilbert.
The lists compared metrics for 117 cities nationwide. Gilbert was the first of three Arizona cities that landed in the top five. FinanceBuzz recognized Gilbert for our low vacant housing rate of 2.9 percent. The financial website also cited population growth, employment, new businesses, and new home construction as signs of a thriving community.
Gilbert continues to be celebrated and recognized nationally. We are proud of these achievements and continue to work hard to make Gilbert the best place to live, work and play.
