Geeks Night Out 2024, Tempe's annual STEAM festival, is set to return on Wednesday, March 27, as announced by the City of Tempe. The event, presented by State Farm, aims to bring together scientists, techies, engineers, artists, and mathematicians for a unique blend of fun and education.
According to the City of Tempe's Newsroom, the festival will feature a wide range of activities, including robotics and coding exercises, forensic crime scenes, and art displays. Attendees can explore over 60 interactive booths, exhibits, and science experiments that highlight the integration of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM).
"This year marks the 11th anniversary of the community collaboration between Tempe Elementary School District, Tempe Union High School District, Kyrene School District, East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT), Arizona State University, Rio Salado College, University of Advancing Technology (UAT), local businesses, organizations, and the City of Tempe," stated the announcement.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Tempe Community Complex, located at 3500 S. Rural Road in the parking lot north of the Tempe Public Library, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Interested participants can find more information about the festival on the official website at tempe.gov/geeks.
Geeks Night Out is part of the Arizona SciTech Festival Signature hosted by the City of Tempe, with State Farm as the presenting sponsor and support from the Tempe Diablos organization.
