Tempe, AZ - The City of Tempe is gearing up for the summer season with a special event dedicated to pool safety and fun. The free April Pools Day event is set to take place this Saturday, April 6, from 1-5 p.m. Residents are invited to join in on the aquatic activities and educational sessions planned for the day.
"It's time to kick off pool season! Brush up on pool safety and enjoy the waves at the free April Pools Day event on Saturday, April 6, 1-5 p.m.," stated the organizers.
Families can look forward to a variety of water safety activities, CPR demonstrations, swim lessons, and of course, plenty of waves to enjoy. Additionally, there will be a special visit from the Tempe Fire Medical Rescue team to further emphasize the importance of water safety.
In a generous gesture, Salt River Project (SRP) will be offering complimentary water safety bags to attendees, ensuring that safety remains a top priority for all participants.
"Admission is free. For more information, visit tempe.gov/waves or call 480-350-5201," encouraged the event organizers. The Kiwanis Wave Pool will be exclusively open on Saturdays throughout April and will extend its operation to Saturdays and Sundays in May, providing ample opportunities for the community to make a splash in the pool.
As the temperatures rise and summer approaches, the April Pools Day event serves as a timely reminder for residents to stay safe and have fun in the water.
