Music Under the Stars Event to Showcase Tempe's Local Talent

Music Under the Stars is a unique celebration of local concert and marching bands, combining high school students and local professional musicians. The free event offers an inclusive community atmosphere where everyone can enjoy live music free of charge. Doors open at 7 p.m. with a mariachi and steel drum pre-show, followed by live music performances by Tempe Union High School band students and local professional musicians.

The event will culminate with fireworks providing the backdrop for the finale performance. Attendees can also enjoy a variety of food options and adult beverages from food trucks and concession stands. Free parking will be available in lots surrounding the Tempe Diablo Stadium, with signs directing attendees to designated parking areas.

Participating high school ensembles include Corona del Sol Band, Corona del Sol Steel Drum Band, Desert Vista Band, Desert Vista Steel Drum Band, Marcos de Niza Band, Marcos de Niza Mariachi Ensemble, McClintock Band, Mountain Pointe Band, and Tempe High Band. These bands will be joined by members of Arizona Wind Symphony and The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps (Brass Line).

Music Under the Stars is a collaborative effort between Tempe Community Arts, Tempe Union High School District, Arizona Wind Symphony, and The Academy. The event aims to showcase the talent of local musicians and provide an evening of entertainment for the community.
