U.S. Congressional candidate Kelly Cooper said Vice President Kamala Harris has shown that she "lacks the comprehension of the issues" that she has said she has the solutions for.

"The root cause of inflation is and will always be bad monetary policy; simply put, uncontrolled printing of money," Cooper told SE Valley Times. "Kamala Harris has demonstrated with this particular policy initiative, as with all of her other policy initiatives, that she lacks the comprehension of the issues that would allow her to put together an effective solution. America faces a clear choice today between failed radical left policies and common sense solutions. Choose wisely America."

Harris gave a speech on her proposed economic policy in Raleigh, North Carolina on Friday, August 16. During the speech, she said she would pass federal legislation to ban "price-gauging" in grocery stores, instead of "price-gouging."

A recent article from American Greatness highlighted the incident, pointing to the lack of policy proposals on Harris' website and her refusal to give an interview to the media as support for the claim that she does not understand the cause or impact of inflation in the country.

Kelly Cooper was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and spent a large portion of his childhood in Chicago. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. After he was honorably discharged, he started working in the restaurant business, eventually opening his own locations that he managed. He moved to Chandler, Arizona in 2013 where he met his wife. Cooper is the founder of the Maricopa County Republican Veterans Club. He is running for Congress in Arizona's 4th District.
