Arizona State University's online programs have once again been recognized as among the best in the nation, according to the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings. The university achieved four No. 1 rankings in various categories.
ASU Online's graduate programs offered through the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation and the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering were ranked first in several areas: curriculum and instruction, educational administration and supervision, educational/instructional media design, and a master’s in electrical engineering.
With over 95,000 learners globally and more than 100,000 graduates, ASU has positioned itself as a leader in online education by offering more than 300 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral online degree programs. This commitment is reflected in their consistent high rankings.
“These rankings reflect ASU’s dedication to providing students with an exceptional online education,” said Nancy Gonzales, executive vice president and university provost. “Our online programs are designed to equip learners with the knowledge, skills and support they need to thrive in their careers and beyond.”
The institution also saw success across other disciplines with 23 online programs ranked among the top 10 nationwide. Ten of these were among the top three, including a No. 2 ranking for its online bachelor’s in business program.
ASU's efforts to support veterans have not gone unnoticed either. The university received recognition for its veteran-friendly offerings with several top ten placements across various categories including master's degrees for veterans.
“Our strong rankings for veterans reflect ASU’s deep commitment to supporting those who have served our country," Gonzales noted.
The W.P. Carey School of Business was ranked No. 3 for its online master’s program in business while the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions achieved top ranks for its criminal justice program.
Through initiatives like Dreamscape Learn technology and flexible learning pathways such as Study Hall and Earned Admission, ASU continues to innovate digital teaching methods.
