Wildfires in Southern California have been burning since January 7, affecting the Los Angeles County area. The fires, intensified by extreme drought and strong winds, have spread over more than 40,000 acres. Thousands of homes and businesses have been destroyed, leading to the evacuation of over 200,000 residents.

In Los Angeles County, entire neighborhoods are without essential services such as power and clean water. The fires have also caused air quality issues, resulting in health concerns and school closures.

Efforts from various sectors are underway to stabilize the situation and initiate recovery in affected areas. "The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation is monitoring the rapidly changing situation through an extended network of state and local chambers," according to a statement released by the organization. They have made resources available for those looking to assist impacted communities.
