Chandler, Arizona, is set to mark Jazz Appreciation Month this April with a series of musical events across the city, featuring performances by local and national artists. The highlights include the Chandler Jazz Festival, Jazz on the Move, and the Young Artist Jazz Showcase. Other events will take place at the Chandler Center for the Arts and Chandler Public Library.

The Chandler Jazz Festival kicks off the month from April 3 to 6, with sidewalk bands performing across downtown Chandler. The festival's main stage will host performances till the evening at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park: Stage Plaza. Pete Pancrazi Duo with Todd Johnson will serve as the festival band on the secondary stage.

Saturday night attendees will find food and non-alcoholic drinks available for purchase. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs, with restrictions on smoking and alcohol in place.

Jazz on the Move, another highlight, will see live performances brought into neighborhoods on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout April.

The Young Artist Jazz Showcase offers student musicians a platform to perform live. Additional jazz-themed events will be held at the Chandler Public Library branches and the Chandler Center for the Arts, including "Shakespeare in Jazz" featuring the Daniel Kelly Trio with Raina Sokolov-Gonzalez on April 4.

Jan Sandwich Jazz Duo performs on April 11 at Hamilton Library, while PHXJAZZ takes the stage at the Chandler Downtown Library on April 12. Jazz at Sunset Park with Delphine Cortez & Joel Robinson is scheduled for April 15.

For families, Basha Library will host "Pop Meets Jazz" featuring PHXJAZZ on April 16. Adults can enjoy "Late Night Recess: Jazz and Blues with Joe Feldman" at Hamilton Library on April 19.

Kids' activities at the library include Baby Time: Music, LEGO Club: Jazz & Music, and STEAM Jr.- Making Music!, catering to various age groups with interactive music-related programs.

The Jazz Appreciation Month is presented by the City of Chandler, Downtown Chandler Community Partnership, Chandler Public Library, Chandler Recreation, Chandler Center for the Arts, The Nash, WM, and The Park at Copper Creek.
