Motorists in Mesa should prepare for a temporary closure of Warner Road due to reconstruction and paving work overseen by Redpoint. The affected section stretches from about 2,300 feet west of Ellsworth Road to 600 feet west of Ellsworth Road. According to the City of Mesa, access to businesses along this stretch will remain available.

The closure will start at 4:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, and is expected to last until 10 p.m. on Thursday, November 13. During this period, Warner Road will be closed to all through traffic around the clock.

Additionally, there will be a final paving phase that requires another full closure of the same section on Monday, November 24, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Detour routes have been established for both directions. Westbound drivers are directed north and south on Ellsworth Road to Elliot Road and Ray Road before proceeding to Sossaman Road. Eastbound traffic should use Sossaman Road north and south to Elliot Road and Ray Road before heading back toward Ellsworth Road.

Drivers are advised by city officials: “Motorists are encouraged to plan extra travel time, follow posted signs, and use caution when traveling near construction areas. Local access will be maintained where possible.”

The City notes that the closure is needed so Redpoint crews can complete reconstruction and paving operations intended to enhance safety and quality along Warner Road.
