The CATALYST, a business resource center in Gilbert, has marked its first anniversary since opening in September 2024. Established through a partnership between the Gilbert Chamber Foundation and the Town of Gilbert’s Office of Economic Development, The CATALYST aims to provide local entrepreneurs and residents with resources to support their business growth.

In its first year, The CATALYST has hosted numerous activities including workshops on topics such as customer service and marketing, access to mentorship through one-on-one consultations, and use of facilities like a podcast studio and content creation suite. These offerings are designed to help business owners develop skills, expand networks, and find professional environments for meetings and production.

Community members have shared positive feedback about the center. One participant stated: “This space is an incredible resource for business owners in Gilbert…I left my first workshop with several actionable takeaways and connections with like-minded entrepreneurs.” Another user said: “I find the CATALYST a great tool for my business and its promotion. I work remotely and do not have a brick-and-mortar business in which to pitch prospects, so the space offers me a professional and business-friendly environment. The best part is these resources are available at a no-cost basis, which further encourages its use.” Other comments included: “The workshop was jam packed with information. I felt like it was time well spent,” and “Love the CATALYST. Great resource. Thank you.”

Gilbert’s rapid population growth presents both opportunities and challenges for local businesses. The CATALYST seeks to address these by ensuring that all entrepreneurs have access to guidance, mentorship, and tools needed for success.

Reflecting on the anniversary, representatives from the Chamber Foundation expressed gratitude toward their partners at the Town of Gilbert’s Office of Economic Development as well as community members who contributed to making The CATALYST an active hub for innovation.
