TOCALO signs lease for new semiconductor coating facility in Chandler, Arizona

TOCALO Co., Ltd. announced on Apr. 2 that it has leased a 32,045-square-foot industrial space at 400 N. 56th St. in Chandler, Arizona, to establish a new coating service facility for semiconductor equipment components.

The decision is seen as an important development for Chandler’s role in the global semiconductor supply chain and its ongoing efforts to attract advanced manufacturing companies. The city’s established innovation ecosystem and skilled workforce were cited as key reasons behind TOCALO’s site selection.

“We found Chandler’s environment and property to be perfectly aligned with our operational vision,” said Yasuki Nakahira, Vice President of Global Business Development Headquarters at TOCALO Co., Ltd.

Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, said: “TOCALO’s new Chandler facility showcases Arizona’s leading attractiveness for global semiconductor innovators. We are grateful TOCALO chose Arizona, expanding its U.S. operations, and we look forward to supporting their success.” Christine Mackay, President & CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, said: “The expansion of TOCALO to Chandler exemplifies the immersion of the global industry into Greater Phoenix’s semiconductor supply chain hub.”

Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke welcomed the investment by saying: “Chandler is proud to welcome TOCALO USA – ARIZONA LLC as part of our expanding semiconductor ecosystem… This investment will strengthen the semiconductor supply chain, create high-quality jobs and further reinforce Chandler’s role in the global semiconductor ecosystem.” Micah Miranda, director of economic development for the City of Chandler, also commented that this move supports high-precision manufacturing aligned with city strategies.

Chandler is known for hosting family festivals and events that attract visitors according to its official history page. Dr. A.J. Chandler Park serves as a central community gathering spot surrounded by shops and historic sites according to city records. The city aims to deliver outstanding public services while fostering a unique community atmosphere as stated on its mission page.

The mayor and council members serve four-year terms with limits on consecutive terms as detailed by official government information. Historically notable for ostrich farming whose feathers were used in fashion according to local history, Chandler’s borders have expanded over time with population estimates recently exceeding 240,000 residents based on historical accounts.

Looking ahead, officials say this investment will help further integrate TOCALO into regional supply chains while contributing jobs and supporting growth within both local industry sectors and broader technological advancement.
