Warren Petersen, a Republican elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 representing the state’s 14th Senate District, has recently posted several statements on his Twitter account addressing political races, criminal justice, and team recruitment.

On April 12, 2026, Petersen commented on a political opponent’s electoral history: “They actually missed one race. He ran for Democrat party chair twice (2011 and 2014) not once. So actually 6 losses in a row. But the point of their story is accurate.”

The following day, April 13, he addressed issues related to criminal offenses and political eligibility: “Anyone who commits rape or crimes against children should be fully prosecuted, imprisoned and banned from politics for life.”

Later that same day, Petersen encouraged public engagement with his campaign: “Join our team at https://t.co/Rqft95dh52!”

Petersen succeeded David Gowan as state senator for Arizona’s 14th Senate District after the 2023 election.
