Warren Petersen, a Republican elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 to represent the 14th Senate District, posted a series of tweets on January 11 and 12, 2026, addressing ongoing legal actions and local government oversight issues.

On January 11, Petersen referenced lawsuits involving Arizona’s Attorney General. He stated, “And our AG is one of them leading these lawsuits! In Jan 2027 I will end this insanity. AZ deserves better.” (posted January 11, 2026).

Later that day, he commented on developments regarding Maricopa County’s law enforcement oversight. Petersen wrote, “This is great news. The fact is the de facto Sheriff of Maricopa county has been an unelected federal monitor wasting millions of taxpayer dollars. Time for the monitor to go.” (posted January 11, 2026).

The following day, Petersen posted a brief remark: “Interesting fact!” (posted January 12, 2026).

Petersen succeeded David Gowan as state senator after his election in 2023 and currently represents Arizona’s 14th Senate District.
