Warren Petersen, Arizona State Senator representing the 14th District and a Republican elected in 2023, recently posted several statements on his social media account addressing political endorsements, election law appeals, and fundraising comparisons with the state’s Attorney General.
On October 16, 2025, Petersen expressed appreciation for a colleague’s support. He wrote, “I’m grateful for the endorsement of one of Yavapai County’s best, Representative Quang Nguyen. There is no stronger champion of the Second Amendment than Representative Nguyen. He has served as judiciary chair with distinction. I look forward to working alongside him to https://t.co/a0QuMCJvt1”.
A day later, on October 17, Petersen commented on a recent legal development involving Arizona’s election laws: “Last month, the Ninth Circuit denied Arizona’s appeal over its election proof of citizenship law, which was another terrible decision that will most assuredly be overturned. The Arizona Legislature will appeal this misguided opinion to the U.S. Supreme Court, and it will likely https://t.co/7oF3S1mLrE”.
Later that same day, Petersen addressed campaign fundraising and criticized the state’s Attorney General: “Did you hear the news? We outraised our liberal AG, who is wasting millions of taxpayer dollars on lawsuits against @realDonaldTrump. It turns out that people would rather have an AG who fights crime than political opponents. https://t.co/4GGcbWekjM”.
Petersen assumed office in the Arizona State Senate in 2023 after replacing David Gowan as representative for the 14th District.
