Warren Petersen, a Republican elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 to represent the state’s 14th Senate District, posted a series of updates on his social media account between April 9 and April 11, 2026.

On April 9, Petersen highlighted a visit by the University of Arizona Wildcats to the state senate. He wrote: “The @UofA Wildcats were at the AZ Senate today! We pulled out the 1997 Final Four ball from the last time they made it that far. What an incredible display of talent from Coach Lloyd and this entire team. Thank you for an unforgettable season!”

Later that day, Petersen announced support for his campaign from a former legislative leader. He stated: “Former Senate President Steve Pierce has endorsed our campaign! He is a well respected rancher and community leader from Yavapai County. Thank you for your support!” This endorsement comes from Steve Pierce, who is recognized within Arizona politics as both a rancher and former state senate president.

On April 11, Petersen commented on political developments involving two other public figures. He posted: “The Swalwell ship is sinking. The Gallego ship will go down too.”

Petersen succeeded David Gowan as senator for Arizona’s 14th district after being elected in 2023.
