Warren Petersen, a Republican elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 to represent the state’s 14th Senate District, has recently posted several statements on his social media account. His posts addressed concerns about state-federal relations over election matters, community engagement ahead of the legislative session, and appreciation for law enforcement.

On January 7, 2026, Petersen questioned actions taken by Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes in relation to federal inquiries. He stated: “This is absolutely insane—and it’s eroding public trust in our elections. Federal law enforcement is demanding info from our state govt, yet SOS Fontes defies them. Why? We should trust Fontes over the DOJ? The same guy who’s lost court case after court case for breaking the”.

Two days later, on January 9, 2026, Petersen shared his participation at a local policy event: “Honored to speak at the Center for Arizona Policy today ahead of the legislative session. Grateful for the chance to stand with community leaders who focus on faith, values, and working together for Arizona’s future.”

Later that day, he recognized Law Enforcement Appreciation Day with a message directed toward those serving in law enforcement: “On this Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, we recognize all the men and women who serve our communities, state, and nation, to protect our God-given liberties enshrined in America’s foundation. Thank you for your efforts to keep us safe. We pray for you and your families.”

Petersen replaced David Gowan as senator representing Arizona’s 14th Senate District after being elected in 2023.
